Surprised at sturdiness - rigid plastic holds it steady on your lap - really keeps computer cool. Love the adjustable angle. Dropped it once and a front tab broke off but was easy to hot glue back on. Had mine for over 2 years and is by far better than most flat, flexible cooling pads if you plan to keep your computer on your lap.
